About SwiftRambles:
Can Tom survive on 3 pairs of underwear? Can Amber survive without her curling iron? Or her DVR? Or her cat? Well, you get the picture. These questions have been haunting mankind since the beginning of time and we have taken it upon ourselves to find out the answers!
So we are ditching our cubicles to travel the world. We've left our corporate jobs and starting in Janurary 2010, we are embarking on a journey that will take us to Central America, South America and Southeast Asia. Instead of looking at pictures pasted on our cube walls of far off places we've never had to the time to go to, we're exploring them for ourselves.
Over the course of several years, we've planned and saved for what we've deemed the "Big Trip" and we can't believe it's coming to fruition. It's terrifying and terribly exciting all at the same time. We've created this blog to share with our friends and family to follow our journey as well as to serve as a resource to others considering taking their own "Big Trip".

About Amber:
5'10, gorgeous international super model having Tom Brady's baby. Oh wait, that is actually Gisele Bundchen's description. Understandable as we are often confused.
In reality, most recently I was living San Francisco with my husband Tom and my cat Guinness. I was toiling away 5 days a week for a financial services company doing marketing consulting before quitting my job to travel the world. My passions include being with my friends and husband, traveling, and photography. If I had to pick one thing, my favorite thing to do is drinking wine outside during a warm day - finding the warm day in foggy San Francisco is the hardest part!
About Tom:
"Banker by day, rocker by night with a side order of Texan hospitality." Oh wait, that is someone else's tag line. Born in West Virginia, lived in Connecticut, Las Vegas, and went to school in Virginia before landing in SF. Outdoor nut, marketing geek, and luckily I like drinking wine outside during the day as well...
Keep in Touch:
We love each other, but 6+ months to spend with anyone is a long time. So please keep in touch - for our marriage's sake!
